Song of Peace
Music by Jan Sibelius, words by Lloyd Stone, this song is from a Methodist hymnal from 1912. It is an eloquent plea for peace and understanding. Set for acappella chorus SATB by Don Willis. The first verse is low in all parts’ register, the second verse an octave higher–the reverse of Sibelius’ “Finlandia”, where this song is taken from.
About the Contributor:
Because I write primarily for a community chorus, open to all, I have worked to make my music accessible to all, yet still challenging for the best singers, My humble wish is to share the joy of singing with everyone, and change the world in the process!
